Hey Y’all!

I’m Cammi Caldwell

FOR STARTERS: I am from a small town called Bright, Indiana where everything is connected to a gas station and you can't drive five minutes without seeing a cornfield. I feel very connected to my “country girl” persona, but if I am honest, I frequently escaped to Cincinnati which is about a 35-minute drive away. In Cincinnati, I found forever friends and made unforgettable memories within the vibrant theater community. I decided this was what I needed to do with my life after my first baby production of Annie at 8 years old. After highschool, I moved myself to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania for my BFA in musical theater at Point Park University. It was definitely difficult to leave my parents and two siblings, but as a middle child, it wasn’t unlike me to do something completely contrasting the rest of my family. At Point Park, I learned lots of things about theater, but more importantly, I learned lots of things about life. I established myself as an artist, a friend, a partner, a vocalist, and a weirdo (I take the most pride in this). Post graduation, I have been able to find so much fulfillment through the professional Cincinnati theater scene. I have been able to re-work with directors that trained me at age of 9 years old, when it all really started. My heart finds so much joy, community and collaboration here. However, my small town raising always has me craving adventure and I will never say no to new experiences, places, and people. Although theater makes me feel most alive, outside of it I am a devoted plant mom and soy candle enthusiast. I will also never turn down a good espresso.

What I’m Up to!!

Come back in a couple months to check out my upcoming work announcements. Fun things are coming:)

They like me! They really like me!

“Cammi Caldwell, who plays Maureen, a performance artist with promiscuous tendencies, and Renee Agben, who plays her partner, Joanne, both have knock-your-socks-off voices and undeniable swagger.”

Alexis Papalia

Check out what the people have to say…

“Armed with a cowbell and microphone, Caldwell ushers in a commanding presence as Maureen and delivers a version of “Over the Moon,” hitting notes with more of a gut punch than Idina Menzel’s original rendition. She successfully got the entire crowd to “moo”

“Another stand out performance comes from Cammi Caldwell as Bea. New to the CLP stage, Caldwell brings to life the strong female lead with her no-nonsense attitude and perfect comedic timing. Caldwell has quickly become a formidable force and is sure to be seen on CLP stages for many shows to come.”

Shelby Coleman

“Including
all aspects of the production, it is one of the best shows I have seen at the Covedale.”
